Company Profile
Electro Power Systems has designed and developed advanced proprietary fuel cell technology to provide inexpensive and reliable clean power anytime, anywhere. We have also developed a highly efficient on-site hydrogen generator capable of fully exploiting the potential of renewable sources.
Our commercially available fuel cell power systems are currently installed around the world and being used to provide back-up power, and power grid/renewables extension and optimization. The company is based in Italy, with branches in London and New Delhi.
Our goal is to commercialize easy-to-use fuel cells at an accessible price. Our roadmap starts with telecom backup power and continues to include smart grids and off-grid communities: we intend to provide clean renewable power anywhere in the world.
Our products generate efficient and reliable clean energy. When paired with renewable sources, they eliminate the need for a power grid. They also eliminate the need for fuel logistics, as they can produce their own hydrogen from water, the most common substance on earth. In other words, our fuel cell power systems save time, money and significant amounts of CO2
Long-term objectives
Overcoming power issues and becoming greener are twin challenges affecting both developing and developed countries. Our mission is to help satisfy both needs by delivering enabling technologies that store and redistribute clean energy in order to minimize the mismatch between energy flow and demand.
A significant opportunity exists to provide environmentally sustainable energy to the 1.6 billion people in the developing world who live beyond the electricity grid. Electro Power Systems is in a position to help make this happen. By working closely with the mobile telecommunications industry – which has already brought phones beyond the fixed telecoms grid – our technology can be used as an integral part of the infrastructure innovation that will bring clean energy to rural and remote areas
